Fee extensions: what you need to know

Do you have money worries? If yes, then please know you are not alone.

Being a student is challenging and sometimes life gets in the way of the best laid plans. Keep calm and don’t lose your focus. You don’t want worry to interfere with your studies.

If you are unable to pay your fees, you may be able to organise a payment plan with Monash University. To be eligible for the payment plan, you need to:

  • be a full-fee paying student;
  • not have any overdue fees from a previous fee period;
  • apply before the due date on your fees statement;
  • be able to meet the due dates set out by the University (https://monash.edu/fees/payment/extension

Failure to pay your fees could result in you being removed from your course, so if you are feeling unsure about what steps to take next, contact an MGA advocate for advice on how to talk to Monash University about a payment plan.
